BC Print

BC Print is an independent project analysis program to verify that your project is what you think it is.  BC Print uses a coordinate dump from you project, then prints out such things as annotations, station offsets, areas and accumulative areas so you can compare the values with the project values.  It can save you a lot of grief if your point data base doesn't match your drawing.

SDR Cut

When you stake out a sewer line, are you spending a lot of time filling out cut sheets.  SDR Cut reads the raw data file containing the stakeout information and build an Excel spread sheet.  All you need to do is furnish the  in and out elevations of the conduit and the  top of manholes and the program does the rest.

TDS to ICS

A program to convert TDS Survey Pro data collector files to Intergraph's ICS format.  This is optimized to fit the Maryland DOT codes and procedures.  It is accepted by the Maryland SHA.  This will produce the Fieldbook and Traverse files as well.  For more information contact Armish Patel, P.E.

SDR to ICS

Under consideration.  The capabilities would be similar to the TDS to ICS application explained above.   If you are interested in this capability, please contact us.

TDS to Land Development

This program will convert TDS data collector files to the Land Development field book format.  It has been developed so that all field book commands are recognized, not just those that are the same as the TDS system.  Unique to this program is the ability to convert each observation to the backsight and foresight to individual FC1 and FC2 records

Simplicity to ASCII

Do you have old DOS based simplicity files but have no way to get to them.  We can convert the old Simplicity binary files to a standard Pt No, North, East, Elev and Desc text file.

IntelliCAD/AutoCAD utilities

These routines have been developed to assist in finishing a drawing.  If you don't find what you need here, contact us.

AcadBLK

AcadBLK reads an ASCII coordinate file and matches it with a cross reference file to produce an AutoCAD script file. The script file contains instructions to insert points and user defined blocks at the coordinate locations. The point blocks contain the point number, elevation and description as attributes and are placed at the appropriate Z elevation. Users have the option to insert all points, or only points with codes matching codes in the cross reference table. This system works with any CAD program that will read an AutoCAD script file, including AutoCAD LT.

POSTE

Many firms like to post spot elevations on drawings with the decimal point at the point location. We have a routine that will extract the elevation from a Softdesk point block and place it at a user defined text rotation. The program works well with Simplex fonts, and can be programmed for any standard AutoCAD font.

Annotation Routines

We have a series of routines for AutoCAD and Generic CADD which are useful for surveyors who need special annotation capability in their CAD system. These include the ability to label lines with Bearing - Distance, build line and curve tables, label lines with a +/- and other common needs.

We have plans to convert many of our routines to Visual basic so they will work with many of the newer released CADD programs. Contact us if you are interested.

More to be listed.  Check back again soon.

TDS Notes

TDS notes is a utility to scan a TDS raw data file and look for all note records.  When located, the point number that was shot just preceding the note will be printed to the left of the note.  Notes can be identified by the standard two dashes (--), by three dashes (---), or may be user defined, such as **.

TDS to TerraModel

Under consideration

This utility will convert a TDS raw data file to the hand entry format of TerraModel.  It is great for entering set data correctly for traverse adjustment.

TDS Cutsheet

TDS provides a variety of records when performing stakeout functions. The translation of these records into an acceptable format is necessary for the contractor, or customer to understand what earth needs to be moved and where structures are to be built.

This AESS developed program has the following capabilities:

Items to be reported are selectable by the user.

Three types of reports are available: Point Stakes, Offset Stakes and Slope Stakes.

The order of columns is selectable by the user.

Column headings can be user defined.

Column widths for coordinates and descriptions are defined by the user.

Only Delta North and Delta East which are outside user defined limits are reported.

User can define a text editor other than notepad if desired.

User selectable precision for reporting cuts/fills, coordinates, deltas, elevations and stations.

User can send output to a comma delimited file for importing into a spreadsheet such as Excel.

User options can be saved for later recall.

Party Chief Cutsheet

Similar to the TDS Cutsheet, this program will read a TDS raw data file and produce cutsheets similar to those produced by the Party Chief software.
