Commercial programs are great, but there is usually something you would like for them to do that they don’t. Many programs come with the ability to be customized using common programming languages. We program in Visual Basic and LISP. Most programs, especially CAD, will provide more productivity when customized. Our programming support can stream line the things you spend a lot of time on. For example our AcadBLK system will add standard AutoCAD blocks to a drawing based on the description code in an ASCII coordinate file. This works in all versions of AutoCAD and IntelliCAD. For more details check our Custom Software Page. To get the most value from your software, it needs to be configured for your method of doing business. We can provide this assistance, as well as helping you develop company standards if needed. The automated mapping capabilities of Carlson Software, Land Development Desktop and TDS Foresight are examples of packages that work harder if properly configured. Need old drawings converted to CAD, a modification to an existing file, finish a drawing for you or create one from scratch? We can do it for you. Have an architectural drawing that you need converted to your coordinate system? We do that also.
If you have a need and don't quite know how to go about it, give us a call. We have assisted in some unusual things, such as contouring a complex site, developing coordinates for anchor bolts for a hospital site, and labeling items on a drawing with station, offset and description information. |
