When you first insert a new ram card you will get an "invalid card data" message. This is normal. When you start TDS you will be given the option to erase all data in port 2. Answer Yes.

On rare occasions you will continue to get this message, and the program will not recognize that a ram card exists. To clear this do the following:

If the card has a battery, remove the battery for a minute or so, then re-insert it.

If the card doesn't have a battery (SMI 10 year cards) or the above doesn't work then:

Exit from TDS

Press the then the Library (2) key.

Press the NXT(L) key.

Press PINIT soft key (B)

Be patient. It takes a while.

Now turn the calculator off and on. If it has cleared, you won't get the message again.
